Fitness Club app also provides location details, opening times, contact info and a full list of each club’s facilities.
Version 1.0 includes Virgin Active, Nuffield, LA Fitness as well as Fitness First and Esporta (excluding timetables).

A platform for innovation and research
In addition to building Genuinely Useful Applications™ for our own customers, we use our own apps as a platform for innovation and to test out technologies that may be of use to clients.
Data caching
Fitness Club utilises Core Data to cache data locally on the device then sync up when a network connection is available.
Synchronised data can then be used when a network signal is not available.
iAd
Although iAd was announced in April 2010, it wasn't until December 2010 that Apple rolled out it's innovative media-rich advertising network to Europe.
Available only in native apps, the advertising network offers a potentially lucrative revenue stream for apps over the longer term.
Fitness Club utilises both iAd and Google's Admob advertising networks and provides useful metrics in terms of fill rate and eCPM in the UK market.
Legacy technology connector
Many apps we build have a need for web services, providing lightweight and efficient means of getting data to mobile devices over slow and inherently intermittent connections.
However for many organisations, building web services is a barrier to creating an app. Wavana has built technology which allows data to be collected from other sources and transformed into a suitable format for optimum mobile technology.
